: The program provides opportunities to students who identify as first-generation college students, demonstrate significant financial need, or come from diverse backgrounds. The Ignatius Scholars Program is designed for first-year students who exhibit strong academic promise, leadership abilities, and high professional aspirations.

MAP Navigators: The Multicultural Awareness Program (MAP) is designed to assist first-year ALANA students in acclimating to campus life at ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ. Specific objectives of the program are academic enhancement, intercultural exploration, social adjustment and community service.

ALANA Mentoring Program: The ALANA Mentoring Program (AMP) pairs first-year ALANA students with upper-class students to assist them in acclimating to campus life at ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ University Maryland. The ALANA Mentors play an integral role in working with students for the first year of their college experience. Mentors will assist first-year students to gain an understanding and appreciation of the University culture, introduce them to co-curricular activities, and assist them with achieving academic and personal growth.
